Committees are the operating system of an association. Committees involve members in the development and delivery of services, represent member opinion in decision-making, and help serve member needs through interaction.

Committees monitor on-going governmental operations, identify issues suitable for legislative review, gather and evaluate information, and recommend courses of action to the Senate and House. Committees are groups of Members appointed to investigate, debate, and report on legislation. While they are not mentioned in the Constitution, committees have become an important part of the legislative process since their introduction during the first Congress in 1789.

We are active in calls to action to our legislators as we monitor the process of legislation and advice our legislators to vote constitutionally

Get out the vote (sometimes referred to as GOTV) is a broadly inclusive term campaigns, candidates, political parties, civic-minded institutions, and individuals use to describe a concerted effort to register voters and increase voter turnout. These efforts can be done with the intent of increasing general voter turnout without regard to political leaning or can be organized by political groups aiming to increase turnout among voters who support a particular candidate or cause.

A parade is a procession of people or vehicles moving through a public place in order to celebrate an important day or event. Hardin County has about 8 parades during the fall elections.

Fundraising is a great way to raise funds for the organization and for our running candidates. All funds must be properly logged into Kentucky Registry of Election Finance (KREF).

Stay motivated and engaged throughout the fundraising process.

The Lincoln Dinner is an annual celebration and fundraiser event of many state & county organizations of the Republican Party in the United States.  It is held annually in February or March depending on the county and often features a well-known speaker from the Republican Party.  All Republican Party running candidates for statewide offices look to garner financial

support and votes from their constituents.

The event is traditionally named after Abraham Lincoln as the first elected president of the Republican Party who helped found and shaped the party.  However, the event has been renamed in many locations to Regan Dinner, Reagan Day Dinner, Lincoln-Reagan Dinner.  This trend is common in the Southern United States, where the Republican Party essentially absorbed what

had previously been the Democratic Party constituency.

The Lincoln Day Dinner is an opportunity to hear from our elected officials and mingle with fellow Republicans.

ALL GREAT CHANGE IN AMERICA BEGINS AT THE DINNER TABLE- RONALD REAGAN

Please keep in mind that this is the main fundraiser event for our local party.  All proceeds from the event will be used to fund Party activities for the sole purpose of electing Republicans and growing the Republican Party.

The Democratic Party usually holds their event the same

time and is called the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner.
